William Tran

Will is a kendo stick wielding, dog walking, film buff with a love of the internet. Having moved to Adelaide from his native Vietnam, Will quickly made himself at home, studying at university and buying a pet dog – a Golden Retriever he promptly named Google.

Though uncertain of his future path, he undertook a double degree in IT and Business, and began cultivating an interest in both. Deciding to use his business degree to major in marketing, he began to see the way IT and marketing could enrich each other. He also realised that a life of lonely coding was not for him; perhaps as a result of his cross-cultural upbringing, he gets too much enjoyment from engaging with people from different backgrounds. With these epiphanies shining the way forward, it was only a matter of time before he discovered SEO.

Before becoming a fixture at the Kwasi Studios offices, Will worked as a freelance web-developer and e-commerce advisor, stunning clients with his ability to deliver under pressure, to turn his mind to new challenges, and to remain enthusiastic, even when faces with a particularly trying problem.

His enthusiasm translates into aspects of his life outside the work sphere. When not joyfully thwacking armoured opponents in kendo practice or taking Google for sojourns through the suburbs, Will picks up a camera and views the world through a different screen. He’s also fond of watching movies and eating, preferably at the same time. The pinnacle would be watching a movie about food, and eating the exact same food the movie is depicting on the screen in front of him, though this is yet to happen, and being the pragmatic type, Will isn’t too hung up on it.
